TBC is the industry leader in the private brand tire category and is one of the nation’s largest vertically integrated marketers of tires for the automotive replacement market. TBC relocated their 1,000,000 SF, Memphis, TN distribution center to a 1,500,000 SF facility at Gateway Global Logistics Center (GGLC). GGLC is a 1,500-acre Panattoni Development and industrial site located in both Fayette County, Tennessee and Marshall County, Mississippi. The site is located adjacent to Norfolk Southern’s intermodal terminal. Pickering serves as Panattoni’s architectural, structural and civil engineering firm of choice and provided engineering and architectural services for the industrial park.
The TBC Distribution Center’s unique features include:
- 1,500,000 SF Class “A” distribution center on 83 acres 
- 160,000 SF of outside storage 
- 32 feet clear height 
- Battery charging for 70 stations 
- 10,000 SF office area 
- 200 loading doors 
- ESFR high bay storage sprinkler design 
The new facility is more than a half-mile long and houses over 10,000 bin locations, with a capacity of more than 2.1 million tires.
