Pickering was selected by The District Land Development Company, to provide engineering services for the The District at Eastover site.

The abandoned, 21-acre site was formerly owned by the State of Mississippi and was once home of the Mississippi School for the Blind. In 2012, the property was acquired and plans for redevelopment initiated. The redevelopment vision was for a 585,000 SF mixed-use center that includes upscale office, retail and residential offerings. A hotel, bank, restaurant, movie theater, main office building and 190 residential lofts form the project’s perimeter.
