HISTORY
Service & Good Work, Our Foundation, Our Future.
Pickering was founded as Pickering Engineering Company in 1946 by O. L. Pickering. He founded the company with the simple mission to provide service and good work. Nearly 80 years later, our mission remains the same and is the cornerstone of our business model.
Located originally in Downtown Memphis, the firm offered civil and surveying services. Over time, the firm added structural, mechanical, electrical, transportation, environmental, architectural and energy management services.
Today, our full-service engineering and architectural firm is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. Our presence in Mississippi began in 1999 with the addition of Jackson area offices, now in Flowood and Pearl. This presence has grown with the addition of our Hernando (2003) and Biloxi offices (2008). In 2015, we entered Arkansas with the establishment of our Jonesboro office followed closely by a new office in Little Rock. Each office across the Mid-South offers a diverse group of professionals who provide extensive expertise and quality services.
