SERVICES:

Sewer System Assessment

Pickering was selected by Harrison County Utility Authority (HCUA) to evaluate the existing conditions of 17,000 LF of 15-inch gravity sewer and approximately 55 manholes serving Harrison County, Mississippi.

The purpose of this study was to determine the installed condition, identify any potential issues or possible concerns and develop a plan of action to get the interceptor in service.

Pickering services included:

  • Review of as-built documents provided by HCUA

  • Review of floodplain boundary maps to determine & identify if any of the manholes were possibly subjected to floodwater inundation

  • Conduct field inspections/assessments to identify current conditions & project acceptability

  • Assist with project permitting & SWPPP documentation

  • Review change orders, contract bonds & contractor’s certificate of insurance, daily reports, approved material submittals, known deficiencies, construction photos & drone video

  • Develop a plan of action, with anticipated costs, required to get the project operational
