John Hamilton serves as the Chief Mechanical/Fire Protection Engineer at Pickering Firm, Inc., where he plays a pivotal role in the planning and design of complex building systems for a variety of facility types. With expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design, John brings a comprehensive, systems-integrated approach to every project he leads.

Since joining Pickering in 2015, John has successfully led multidisciplinary design efforts for both public and private sector clients, balancing code compliance, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. In addition to his technical abilities, he is an experienced project manager known for delivering clear communication, collaborative team leadership, and solutions that support client goals from concept through construction.

John is a licensed Professional Engineer and a graduate of the University of Tennessee – Knoxville, where he earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering.
