Pickering provided architecture and engineering services for the renovation of the historic Cossitt Library in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. Services for this project for the Memphis Public Library system included 3D scan and creation of 2D and 3D as-built information

The renovation project consists of the transformation of the library facility into an enhanced community learning center. The new space will include conference rooms, reading areas, a café, two flexible performance spaces and technology labs for high school students. The project also required upgrades to conform with ADA standards including new accessible ramps within the confines of an existing courtyard. The library is part of the Memphis River Parks Partnership’s vision for transforming the Memphis Riverfront.

Cossitt Library reopened in Spring 2023.
