Shelby Farm’s Woodland Discovery Playground has been chosen from among 150 pilot projects as one of the first three to be certified by the Sustainable Sites Initiatives’ system for rating the sustainable design, construction and maintenance of built landscapes.  SITES is a partnership of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center of The University of Texas at Austin and the United States Botanic Garden.  More here.
